According to Qudelix, the clip parts received from China vendor has defects. They ordered new parts from different vendors and expect to receive new clips on June 10th. Another delays. By the way, the shopping mall for pre-order will be opening soon, maybe in a week. It's 109USD and PayPal is needed for outside of Korea. In Korea, they will sell Qudelix-5K from Naver SmartStore.

클립부품에 하자가 있어 양산이 다시 6월 10일로 미루어졌다는 소식입니다. 가격은 109USD인데 한국 가격은 정보가 없네요. 일단 판매는 네이버 스마트스토어에서 한다는 소식입니다. 프리오더에 참여 해야겠네요.

Update May-3 2020

According to the official website forum, the company is still waiting for battery and clip parts from China. They are expecting to receive battery on May 6th and the clip (last parts) in mid-May. If receiving them, the company said it will take couple of days to produce the product. Based on this, probably end of May release at the earliest.

포럼 확인 결과 아직 배터리와 클립 부품을 기다리는 중이라고 합니다. 5월6일에 배터리가 들어오고 5월 중순 쯤 마지막 부품인 클립이 들어오면 수일내 조립, 판매한다고 합니다. 빨라야 5월말 출시 할 수 있을 듯 합니다.

No news from the company so I searched and found that confirmity assessment was done on Apr 3.
포럼에 소식이 없어 전파인증 검색해 봤더니 4월3일에 인증이 됐네요.

포럼에서 퍼 왔습니다. Qudelix 답변입니다.

모든 설계는 끝났고, 양산 준비 중에 있습니다.
금형은 이미 제작이 되었으며, 시사출 테스트를 통해서 미세한 오차를 수정하고 있습니다.
다음 주 부터 전파 인증 시험에 들어갑니다.
양산을 위해서 제조 라인도 setup 중입니다.
다만, 현재 중국 사정이 좋지 않아서, 밧데리 공급사의 일정이 계속 지연되고 있습니다.
펀딩을 하지 않은 이유는 출시를 조금이라도 앞당기기 위해서 어쩔 수 없는 선택이었습니다.
원래 계획한 출시 시점보다 1~2달 정도 늦어지고 있지만,
아무리 늦어도 4월 중에는 받아 보실 수 있게 노력 중입니다.

We're setting up the mass production line here in Korea while waiting for some parts.
Still waiting for the battery from china factory, but if received on time, we're going to start the production around the end of March.
Anyway, worst case, we may able to release at least next month.

Qudelix is saying it will be March 2020 for product launch unless any hold backs. Time to start saving some money :)

생산에 별 문제 없다면 3월에 시판 한다는 소식 입니다. 총알 모아 놔야겠네요. ^^

• Finally confirmed the chassis design and just started making chassis mold for mass production
• 6~7 weeks to get the final plastic injection
• Some challanges as it's the first application of QCC512x

앞으로 6~7주 후에 양산에 들어간다는 소식 입니다. QCC5124 칩셋 때문에 개발해야 할 것들이 많아서 다소 지연되고 있었나봅니다. 스펙 그대로만 나온다면 가성비 최강의 무선 DAC이 될텐데 기대가 큽니다!

Introduction to Qudlix-5K

As an extremely happy user of ES100, bluetooth receiver, I was wondering why they no longer update the firmware anymore and came across this new company called qudelix (of the former CTO of Radsone).

According to the forum at the company website, they are plannning to launch the new product, 5K-DAC in early 2020 with retail price $99. The look and specification seems quite promising, especially with the price tag.

Even though it's rendered image, I can see it has a USB-C (yay!!) port and the clip design has been changed (yayay!). I really hope to see improved overall build quality with this new product.

2.5mm blanaced output max 4.0V RMS and 21 hours of battery time look good. I only have Apple devices but aptX Adaptive is definite plus.

I bet this company delivers what they promised. So, please take my $100 and give me the product (ASAP)!!
